Résumé
This category is a little like the Museum of Nick; I haven't worked in sound or television since I directed and edited an industrial film for a police equipment supplier in Russia in 1993. Talk about a hoot - you haven't lived until you've lensed eight rad dudes in SWAT gear abseiling from a Mi-8 chopper onto the roof of a building. But I digress. Herewith my experience in my former career.
The [Read More] links lead to sidebars - elaboration or additional blather detailing what a given job actually entailed, giving plain-English descriptions of jobs with high-fallutin' titles, and explaining some of the more esoteric references.

Young & Rubicam Poland | Warsaw, Poland
Supervised all aspects of print, radio and television production and conversion for Y&R Eastern Europe clients. Supervised print layout on Macintosh using QuarkXPress, Photoshop and Freehand. Fired for gross insubordination - though in my defense, I should note that all 11 senior staff quit in protest, and the Managing Director who fired me was soon after sacked herself!

Also DJd morning drive-time slot for English-language news ('Dzien Dobry, Warszawa!!'), sports, weather and game shows. Yes, I'm serious. Trained on-air staff in more western, informal radio style.
